ABOUT US
SSC is a third-generation company started by John Scholtz in December of 1913 as Scholtz Lumber Company. After a series of company acquisitions and mergers, formally known as Sykes Scholtz Collins, SSC Distributors rebranded into a commercial cabinetry and millwork manufacturer, while continuing distribution of kitchens to local home builders.
Serving the Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey areas, SSC manufactures architectural millwork and casework in our 30,000 sq. ft. shop located in Chester, PA. We use the latest machinery and software, employing skilled craftsmen, cabinet makers, and finishers to provide a diverse base of general contractors with quality products and services.
SSC Distributors is a manufacture of our own line of kitchens – 'Traditions'. A series of custom doors and cabinets with the design flexibility to meet all contractors’ needs, only possible with onsite manufacturing.
PROJECTS
OUR SHOP
Here at SSC we take pride in every cabinet, every molding, and every panel that leaves our shop. With the most up-to-date technology our capabilities are endless from idea to install.
We start with AutoCAD and 20/20 to create accurate in-house drawings for every job. Then using Cabinet Vision and WoodCAD/CAM we lay out whole projects which are processed efficiently through our Holzma horizontal beam saw and Weeke CNC. Even the most complicated parts are cut with precision allowing us to run large volume jobs which get finished through our Holzma edgebander or contour edgebander and sent over for assembly. For those custom millwork jobs we use our 5 head molder and shaper to make any molding and profile and can match wood or paint finishes in our spray booth.
